Amgen’s Corporate Compliance Charter

Amgen’s Corporate Compliance Program is driven by Amgen’s Values and its core mission is to promote business integrity and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.  The goal of the Corporate Compliance Program is to inform and educate those who conduct business for or on behalf of Amgen of applicable legal and regulatory requirements; monitor compliance systems and processes designed to detect unlawful or unethical conduct as soon as reasonably possible should it occur; respond appropriately to any offense that is substantiated; and to take appropriate steps to prevent future recurrence.

Every individual who conducts business for or on behalf of Amgen is required to follow all laws and Amgen policies applicable to him or her, and is expected to exert due diligence in preventing and detecting violations of such laws and policies.  Although Amgen’s Corporate Compliance Program is reasonably designed to prevent and detect non-compliance, it cannot completely eliminate the possibility that an individual may break the law or violate Amgen’s policies.  If Amgen determines that an individual has engaged in improper conduct, appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken, up to and including immediate termination.
