The Chief Compliance Officer has the following responsibilities:
Lead the Corporate Compliance Department; oversee the day-to-day Program administration;
Ensure appropriate training and education regarding compliance is made available to all staff members, temporary workers, consultants, and contractors;
Review, publish, and distribute "Do the Right Thing – Amgen’s Business Conduct Standards";
Ensure and verify that all compliance functions are operating properly under the Program;
Report regularly to the CEO, the CEO’s direct reports and to one or more Committees of the Board of Directors about the efforts, adequacy, and effectiveness of the Program;
Ensure the Business Conduct Hotline is maintained as a forum for anyone to raise compliance concerns;
Ensure that procedures exist and are followed for responding to reports of violations of Amgen’s compliance; and
Oversee monitoring and enforcement pertaining to compliance-related misconduct.
