Where to Turn for Help or Report Concerns

Amgen has established various ways for individuals to raise matters of concern with regard to issues affecting the conduct of Company officials, or ethical, legal or other issues related to the way the Company is conducting its business. Two avenues for raising such issues are described below. Additional avenues are identified throughout this booklet for reporting specific types of concerns.

Business Conduct Hotline: You should immediately contact Amgen’s Chief Compliance Officer if you are aware of a situation that you believe may be unlawful or unethical, (including, but not limited to, situations involving Amgen accounting, internal accounting controls or auditing matters). The Chief Compliance Officer can be reached from any worldwide location by calling the Business Conduct Hotline, which may be done anonymously, at (888) 376-5574 at any time of the day or night.

Callers to the Business Conduct Hotline are requested to provide details of the incident or practice they wish to report. Callers then have the option to leave their name and contact phone number or they may leave the details anonymously or confidentially. The company prefers that callers identify themselves, because follow-up calls sometimes are necessary to conduct a thorough investigation.

Ombudsperson: In addition to the Business Conduct Hotline, Amgen has established an Ombudsperson office to further assure that every employee will have every possible opportunity to raise matters of concern with regard to issues affecting the employee’s employment, the conduct of Company officials, or ethical, legal or other issues related to the way the Company is conducting its business.

Persons who raise good-faith concerns by calling the Business Conduct Hotline or the Ombudsperson will not be subjected to retaliation. Please refer to the Non-Retaliation Policy for further information about Amgen’s policy prohibiting retaliation.
